For many demographics, cocktails are a popular choice of drink, and although we may not all be able to physically travel around the world, we can bring each countries signature cocktail to us! From pineapple juice to tomato juice, there are a whole range of exciting flavours to try from around the world...

Caipirinha (Brazil) 

This is a great Brazilian cocktail that's made with sugar, lime and ice. It is very widely available in the country of Brazil and it originates from the rural areas of Sao Paulo.

It often has many fruits and different liquors added to it. Often Caipirinha is drunk with a straw so that the sugar could accumulate at the bottom of the glass. It's also a great addition to an alcohol hamper if you would like to give it to someone.

The Limoncello Spritz is regarded as one of the best dinner shots that you can obtain from the country. It's also a very historic drink that originates from the time of the Roman empire. 

Mai Tai (Hawaii) 

One of the best drinks that you can have in Hawaii is the Mai Tai which is one of the most iconic drinks on the island.

It's a very popular Hawaiian cocktail and you can enjoy it during happy hour on the island. They are one of the best tropical drinks on the island, and it's basically a combination of white and dark rum with fruit juice. There are also many variations of this drink that include coconut rum, orange juice and pineapple. 

Pisco Sour (Peru) 

Pisco Sour is one of the most classic cocktails that you can get from the great nation of Peru. It dates back to the 1700s; It's a kind of brandy that's been made from fermented grape juice. It a lime based cocktail also includes lime juice, egg white and ice.

If you are ever in Peru, this is a must-try. It is one of the most famous drinks in the country, and it is known for being a great pre-dinner cocktail. It has a very bright appearance, and you will surely appreciate its taste. 

Singapore Sling (Singapore)

Made with Gin, cherry liqueur, Cointreau (orange liqueur), Benedictine, pineapple juice, lime juice, grenadine, Angostura bitters, club soda, this is a fruity and refreshing cocktail created at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore, known for its vibrant pink colour and complex mix of flavours. Perfect for a hot summer day!

Bloody Mary (USA)

The Bloody Mary is a savoury cocktail with a spicy kick to it. It's usually enjoyed with brunch and features a vodka mix with tomato juice along with other seasoning such as hot sauce.

Piña Colada (Puerto Rico)

One of many peoples favourite drinks is the Pina Colado! Sipping on one of these will take you straight to a tropical beach on a hot day.

Made with a delightful mix of pineapple juice, coconut cream and white rum, this is an easy cocktail to make at home! Make it look fancy and garnish your glass with some chopped passion fruit too!

Aperol Spritz (Italy)

Made from Aperol, prosecco (or white wine), soda water, orange slice (for garnish) this is a light and refreshing mix and is a favourite cocktail for many people.

Margarita (Mexico)

This popular Mexican cocktail is served in a salt-rimmed glass, featuring tequila, lime juice, and Cointreau, either shaken or blended with ice.

Moscow Mule (Russia/USA)

This refreshing drink is served in a copper mug, made with Russian vodka, spicy ginger beer, and fresh lime juice.

Manhattan (USA)

Ingredients consist of rye whiskey (or bourbon), sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters, and a maraschino cherry (for garnish). This classic cocktail has a strong and slightly sweet flavour, made with whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters, served in a chilled martini glass.

Mint Julep (USA)

This Southern favourite cocktail is particularly associated with the Kentucky Derby, featuring bourbon, fresh mint, and simple syrup over crushed ice.

Negroni (Italy)

This classic Italian cocktail has a bitter and complex flavour, made with equal parts gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth and is the perfect cocktail to take you straight back to the streets of Italy.

Irish Coffee (Ireland)

After a meal, an Irish Coffee may be a choice of dessert for some, as this warming drink combines hot coffee, irish whiskey and sugar, topped off with a layer of whipped cream. 

Tequila Sunrise (Mexico)

This Mexican cocktail is visually stunning! It’s made with tequila, orange juice and grenadine to create a gradient sunrise effect in the glass.  

If you’re ever in Mexico, it’s a lovely one of their signature cocktails to enjoy.

This famous cocktail is known for its simple yet delightful mix of ingredients, served in an old fashioned glass. This drink is now also the official cocktail or Louisville.

To prepare an Old Fashioned, you need Bourbon or rye whiskey, A sugar cube (or simple syrup), a few dashes of Angostura bitters, a splash of club soda or soda water, an orange peel and a maraschino cherry for garnish along with Ice cubes.
