Chocolate eggs - a sweet treat which is synonymous with Easter celebrations. The tradition of gifting Easter eggs to loved ones and family members at Easter stems back generations, originally starting with the exchanging of real eggs which had painted shells hundreds of years ago. The first chocolate Easter eggs originated in France in the 1700s, and Easter eggs as we know them today first arrived in British shops 1875. Since then, Easter eggs have become more elaborate and interesting as the years have gone on and these days you can even get pet friendly Easter eggs for your furry friends
There’s no denying that this year, Easter weekend may be a little different as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. It’s likely that there will still be some restrictions in place, meaning that we won’t be able to get together with family and friends to exchange chocolate eggs and enjoy good food. So why not make Easter egg-stra special this year and up your chocolate game.
After all, we may not be able to spend time together on Easter weekend… but we can still show our friends and family that we’re thinking of them by sending an Easter gift - and we’re not just talking about humble chocolate eggs.
Give them something to smile about with an unusual or unique present from the Awesome Hamper Company, or get crafty by creating your very own DIY edible Easter gift. In this blog, we’ll take a look at a few different ideas to help make this Easter weekend one to remember.

Easter Egg Bouquet
A fun twist on a classic, Easter egg bouquets bring some extra fun to the celebrations. Created using small Easter eggs, such as Cadbury Creme Eggs or Kinder Surprise Eggs, simply stick the eggs onto a skewer before carefully arranging them into a polystyrene or foam mount inside a bouquet box. Make sure you stick the skewer onto the wrapper and not the chocolate though!
However, if you don’t fancy making one yourself, the Awesome Hamper Company has a vast array of chocolate bouquets in various different styles and sizes! Check them out here...
